Is there such a thing as an “emotional support sergeant?” If you turn to the Internet for answers, you might be led astray.
I used my phone and the Google Voice Search (instead of typing) and here are screenshots of the results as of August 18, 2024. The date is important, because the results may have changed! I asked Google, “Why would a Drill Sergeant have a blue disk on his hat?” and this is the result: This is actually the second result, but ironically, it’s the largest on the page.
I cannot stress this enough: THESE RESULTS ARE ABSOLUTELY WRONG. It seems the entire military around the world (certainly across the United States) has gotten in on this joke. A blue ring on a drill instructor’s campaign cover has NOTHING to do with the above information. BELOW is the correct data:
For your reference, this is one of the men we’re talking about: I guarantee you, he’s NOT AN EMOTIONAL SUPPORT PERSON.
Out of sheer amazement, I searched again, and these were the top results. You can see now that the first one is definitely wrong, but this second is correct.
Have you ever seen Interent Search results that were wrong? It's highly unusual because information moves very quickly!
